RDH wants to "apeal" the decission... lets hope he gets a better lawyer and uses better arguments now. I am not a good english speaker but believe that apeal means like Berufung in German. But lets wait and see.. btw are u familiar w/ the English justice system or know someone, cuz the costs seem "pretty high" RDH states (on his website). This is a civil law case right? OTH ofc he would really state them much higher as in reality anyoner knowing the real costs would point it out. So must be near the real cost(s) ??? Hall's Barrister, Mr Paul Oakley, had to argue the case following the summary judgement, so could barely defend his client at all. Given the circumstances, the defence he and Hall managed to put together was impressive. There is no way the claim should have been upheld given the evidence presented in the court. In my view, Steyn performed some unbelievable legal gymnastics to rule in the claimants favour.
The damages and the court costs are not covered. Hall is facing potential ruin. Yet still some allege he is complicit in some way. It is an utterly ridiculous claim.
I find this really upsetting. I live near one of the supposed victims who died. It's a small community and it caused great sadness. I dont know how to approach Rich's idea that she was paid to move abroad or whatever . Its hard to think it through.
