The host is Jasun Horsley and his guest was Simon Delay (I think his first name is Simon). Horsley writes on substack and has produced some truly fascinating non-fiction books over the years. Maybe you've already come across him. He has quite deep insights into what he calls "conspira-tainment" and "the second matrix". These would be the squirrels in my analogy. Rabbits might be more appropriate, however - Alice in Wonderland and all that.
Anyway, I think you'd find Horsley's work a useful counterpart to your own.
