Love that analogy, must be summat to do with the family lineage...lol

You got me.

Also the focus. Could have said Prince but he plays too many instruments.

There's a lot of Davis' in the world, some with an 'e', but most seem to play rugby for Wales.

Forgive me for drawing attention to your use of an incorrect tense, but in today's ridiculous totalitarian political climate, folk are getting imprisoned for mis-gendering the living...and didn't he end up self identifying as an emblem/sign/some shit that no one recognised nor could pronounce ?

Great musician though...

He used a symbol to evade corporate control of his legal fiction and was thus able to release as much music as he wanted. Ahead of the game IMO also Miles Davis’ fave musician

I wasn't aware of that.

Even more kudos for a sadly lost great musician.

Ftr, Lennon suffered the same fate as JFK, Martin Luther King, and Jnr. Still huge questions over Michael Jackson's early demise..."dead at 27", and the, "Kennedy Curse" show remarkable similarities...you might want to check out Mark Devlin's opinions of the music industry, from a guy that used to be an insider.

You gotta laugh but it is almost getting beyond a joke. The levels of censorship and propaganda are insane but most are blind to it.

Bizarrely, I have just had a message from Facebook: "We removed your content. We can't show this content. Your content goes against our Community Standards on cybersecurity".

This was a surprise. Maybe I am a spy but such a secret one, even I didn't notice. What content have they removed? It is so secret they couldn't tell me. Was it the picture of my garden rose? Me gallivanting in the local pub? I don't know but decided to appeal anyway and pressed the requisite button they offered as they said "You have 178 days left to request a review".

Except when I tried that, this message popped up "Sorry, something went wrong. We're sorry, but there's a technical problem with this feature. We're working to fix it". So, the computer says 'no'. That is our future unless we resist some of the cybernetics and blockchain technology rolling our way like a tsunami.

In the meantime, I am trying to improve my ability to not be a danger to civil society/Boris Johnson's reputation by reading a book called '180 Degrees - Unlearn the Lies You've Been Taught.' It is very big!

I have a conspiracy theory for ya.

Brent Lee doesn't exist.

Pretty likely given the Gatesiad formerly the Grauniad consisted mostly of so-called first person accounts/opinions years ago & it definitely hasn't changed since. It was a fiction factory. It now makes stuff you tear up and hang in the brick outhouse.

Amelia Gentleman's article confirms the trope that a "conspiracy theorist" is someone who believes silly stories. While there are those who believe silly stories, the people disparaged by Gentleman as "conspiracy theorists" are more likely better researched than those who attack them.

For instance, I heard a story about Malthusian efforts to reduce the population. Apparently there was a secret committee in the House of Commons to discuss population matters and that there were those who promoted gay marriage as a population-reduction measure. A conspiracy theory, no doubt!

Yet the source was a book by Amelia's father-in-law, Stanley Johnson, in "Life Without Birth" (1971). It read:

Page 296: "However, in complete secret some action was taken. An inter-departmental committee of senior civil servants was set up to advise the government on population matters. It has now operated for over a year, reporting direct to the powerful home affairs committee of the Cabinet, and advises how legislative and administrative acts can be made to further a policy of population stabilization. Its existence has been kept deliberately secret for fear of political repercussions, and not many people either in Whitehall or Westminster are aware it is there at all. The subject would receive similar attention under a Conservative administration."

Page 295: "The fourth and last plank in the strategy, if it was felt that within the context of marriage parents would always want “too many” children, would be to discourage marriage itself as we know it. In order to preserve other fundamental freedoms for society as a whole, the government would attempt to limit the opportunities for breeding by limiting the opportunities for marriage. It would use the weapons of the modern state (still, of course, within the “context of voluntarism”) not just in pursuit of antinatalist policies but of antinuptialist policies as well. This might involve promoting - for some proportion of the society - other forms of union (homosexual or heterosexual) which from a demographic standpoint may be more desirable."

Now I am not stupid enough to believe everything Johnson says, but it is evidence that has been assessed and weighed with all of the other information. It isn't a conspiracy theory.

This Gentleman should lift her game!

Gotta feel for poor old messianic Brent, don' ya ?

T'would appear that his tinfoil hat has morphed into a metallic blindfold.

At least it'll protect his eyes from all of those EMFs...

Guardian > BBC > Jeremy Vine > Marianna Spring > > EUvsDisinfo > freebie trip to Poland > kinda says it all

"Judge me by the company I keep..."

Puts me in mind of the piece that The Times put out a while back about a retired couple from Norfolk that downsized from their detached country retreat to a 2 bed flat in Woolwich.

Pure propaganda.

Thanks for the QAnon history, Iain, never really looked into, but have always suspected a three letter agency finger print. Didn't know about Amelia's family connections either...every day's a school day !

Thank you.

Genius propaganda: confessions of a former conspiracy theorist. Cringe at its most loathsome. Brent is probably employed by MI5 or 6.

It's such bullshit when they take the extreme end and portray that as what everyone in the group is.

It's ironic that yes, some of those that believe in conspiracies do the same exact thing. They think everything is fake or linked to satanic groups. Some might, some aren't.

I contend that these types of conspiracists are no different than the mainstream followers that regularly do the same thing.

Example of mainstream: they act like everyone who questions v@xcine$ are anti v@xxers, like they do to Kennedy. Nope, most of us believed in that shit and now want proof that they were checked for safety. It turns out they were not in the past, and not today.

Example on the other side: a friend who questions everything, assumes that nothing is real in politics... that it's all a show.

Both sides are no different than the superstitious people of the past (an OCD of thought, you could say).

Firstly, it should be said the Guardian is a MI6 operation similar to the many CIA controlled publications in the US.

Secondly, Brent Lee disabusing himself of conspiracy theories reminds me of the insanity occurring during the height of the COVID when those who got sick had to publicly denounce their anti-vaxx beliefs in order to get medical treatment.

Both in the case of COVID or Brent Lee's denunciation of conspiracy theories we are witnessing how opposing the official security state narrative is considered a transgression requiring a Mao-like criticism session.

Oddly enough, the national security state has taken on "cult-like" characteristics in that its "shills" can concoct fabricated stories inundated with misinformation yet populations mustly blindly accept these contrived narratives as fact.

Perhaps, Paul Craig Roberts said it best: "A conspiracy theory no longer means an event explained by a conspiracy. Instead it now means any explanation or even a fact that is out of step with the government’s explanation and that of its media pimps."

I've written a post, 12 logical fallacies unmasked in the use of the terms "conspiracy theory" and "conspiracy theorist".

https://petraliverani.substack.com/p/11-logical-fallacies-unmasked-in

1. The authorities decide which events are conspiracies - the Appeal to Authority fallacy

2. Only the majority expert voice counts, the minority expert voice is to be derided and ignored - the Appeal to Common Belief fallacy

3. Professionals do not make claims of conspiracy nor do they theorise - the Strawman fallacy

4. Refuters use the more specific and appropriate term, “psychological operation” or psyop - the Definist fallacy

5. Selecting the obviously invalid argument - the Cherry-picking fallacy

6. OMG! You’re one of those tinfoil-hatted people! - Argument from Intimidation fallacy

7. Your reasoning is based on bias, mine is rational - The Bias Blind Spot

8. Is the fact of conspiracy the main concern? - no, it’s the Big Lie fallacy technique used for millennia to control our minds

9. The sophisticated Big Lie - the addition of the False Dilemma fallacy

10. If those in power had done it they would have … - Hypothesis contrary to fact

11. That’s insane, that cannot be true - Argument from incredulity

12. When the rule is that they must “tell” us the truth underneath the propaganda how is the rejection of the narrative in the realm of “theory”? - The Loaded Question fallacy

Very well written and cited. Lately I’ve like the term conspiracy analyst. Not so much to get away from the term “conspiracy theory” but to describe what I do when it comes to investigating a conspiracy. I think at times a conspiracy theorist may be tempted not to employ a means of testing a theory, but just accept that it exists as a plausible reality. But a theory is the result of observation, experimentation, and research. I think that a lack of the aforementioned is what makes a conspiracy theory seem dangerous to some.

So you’re just going to subject yourself to whomever the Electoral System determines to be the victorious candidate? Sounds like you’ve given the Globalist Fascist Oligarchy exactly what they hoped to achieve....a disillusioned apathetic citizenry who will no longer fight to preserve their Constitutional Liberty & Rights, and who will subordinate themselves to the dictates of the UN and WEF and WHO and BIS.

In order for the Globalist Fascist Oligarchy to finally achieve their centuries old goal of a One-World Global Empire they must first accomplish two prerequisite goals:

1. The “Great Collapse of Society” using the methods propounded by the Frankfurt School.

2. The abolition of the US Constitution that legitimizes the USA as an independent sovereign nation-state, and that guarantees and protects citizen’s personal liberty, personal rights, and personal property ownership.

The only thing standing in the way of the Globalist Fascist Oligarchy achieving their goal of a NWO One-World Global Empire is the US Constitution that legitimizes the USA as an independent sovereign nation-state, and guarantees and protects each citizen’s personal liberty, personal rights, and personal property ownership. Donald Trump is the leader and standard bearer of the “America First MAGA Patriots” movement that holds the US Constitution in its fist and waves it in the faces of the Deep State RINO Establishment and the Globalist Fascist Oligarchy. This is why the Globalists have declared Donald Trump as their Enemy No. 1 who must be destroyed in any manner possible, legal or not, at all costs. Enemy No. 2 is anyone who supports Trump.

The “Great Collapse of Society”

“The Frankfurt School and “Critical Theory”

The “Frankfurt School,” or Institute for Social Research, was set up by a group of Marxist intellectuals in Germany in 1923, affiliated to the University of Frankfurt and independently of the Communist Party, which has been influential in the development of Marxist theory ever since.

The Frankfurt School believed that as long as an individual had the belief – or even the hope of belief – that his divine gift of reason could solve the problems facing society, then that society would never reach the state of hopelessness and alienation that they considered necessary to provoke socialist revolution. Their task, therefore, was as swiftly as possible to undermine the Judeo-Christian legacy. To do this they called for the most negative destructive criticism possible of every sphere of life which would be designed to de-stabilize society and bring down what they saw as the ‘oppressive’ order. Their policies, they hoped, would spread like a virus—‘continuing the work of the Western Marxists by other means’ as one of their members noted.

To further advance their ‘quiet’ incremental cultural revolution (Fabian Socialism) – but giving us no ideas about their plans for the future – the School recommended (among other things):

Divide and Conquer.

The oppressed and their oppressors.

1. The creation of racism offenses.

2. Continual change to create confusion.

3. The teaching of sex and homosexuality to children.

4. The undermining of schools’ and teachers’ authority.

5. Huge immigration to destroy identity.

6. The promotion of excessive drinking/drug abuse.

7. Emptying of churches.

8. An unreliable legal system with bias against victims of crime.

9. Dependency on the state or state benefits.

10. Control and dumbing down of media.

11. Encouraging the breakdown of the family.

One of the main ideas of the Frankfurt School was to exploit Freud’s idea of ‘pan-sexualism’ – the search for pleasure, the exploitation of the differences between the sexes, the overthrowing of traditional relationships between men and women. To further their aims they would:

• attack the authority of the father, deny the specific roles of father and mother, and wrest away from families their rights as primary educators of their children.

• abolish differences in the education of boys and girls

• abolish all forms of male dominance – hence the presence of women in the armed forces

• declare women to be an ‘oppressed class’ and men as ‘oppressors.’
